Program Descriptions

New Way of Southwest Louisiana LLC PRTF Programs are provided in a residential setting. A wide range of services are organized within a comprehensive therapeutic environment that includes screening and assessment, diagnostic determination, individual and family counseling, psycho skills training, spiritual development, psychiatric consultations, medication management, access to pharmaceutical services, crisis intervention, group counseling, educational programming, client advocacy, and referral to community resources. Clients are assigned to licensed clinicians who assist in individual planning and care. Services additionally include consultation with family and/or professional care providers. Children will be served in the context of the family and not as an isolated unit. Assessment and services will be appropriate for age, development, education and culture. Staff encourages families to participate in educational programs offered by New Way, including psycho social skills training relevant to the resident’s needs. Staff encourages families to participate in family counseling with the resident with consent or legal right.
